Visiting?
Do you plan to visit on Sunday morning?
Zion Community Church invites you to join us on Sunday morning for worship.
BUT, what can you expect when you arrive? Below are answers to common questions that help visitors to our church. Just choose a question & you'll go right to that section.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
What Should My Family Wear?
Some wear suits and some wear sweat pants. Some even wear football jerseys! You'll probably find our pastoral staff in a suit, but some of our deacons in shorts! You will not be judged, as long as you wear clothes! We want the families to come as they are and we pledge to treat everyone the same!
What Is the Style of Worship?
Every church has its own style and Zion Community Church is no different. People ask us if we are a traditional church, a contemporary church, or even a charismatic church. We tell people that at Zion Community Church they will feel at home no matter what style they are looking for. While we do not practice the miraculous gifts as some churches do, we are full of charisma! We believe that everyone will find a place where whey can grow and meet Jesus. Here are some important words that describe our "WORSHIP STYLE":
-
Blended Music ~ Hymns, Choruses, Worship Songs
-
Multigenerational
-
A Celebration of Faith
-
Inspirational
-
Reverent
What Happens In Your Worship Service?
At Zion Community Church, we try to follow the Bible in all we do. This includes our worship services. While we typically read from the New King James Version, we want you to know what you will find on Sunday mornings: Teaching & Preaching, Singing, Praying, & an Offering. Please note: we stress the importance of God’s leading when a person’s giving an offering in worship. This means that if you are a first time visitor, we don’t want you to feel the pressure to have to give an offering. Our members are called to support our church.
Zion Community Church also takes communion each Sunday. Everyone is invited to join us, but we ask that unbaptized children wait until they have made a public decision to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
