                                                                                 Job Description

Title:      Zion Kidz Director

Report:  The Zion Kidz Director will report weekly to the Associate Pastor



-The Zion Kidz Director will have a self-awareness of faithfully serving the Lord at ZCC.

-They do not have to possess ministerial credentials but must have passion and experience in this age-specific ministry.

-Must Have’s:

-demonstrates a love for God and a love for ministry to kids

-teachable spirit, desire to grow, and a pattern of spiritual growth

-basic understanding of church operations that is compatible with scripture, the Sr. Pastor, and the church constitution

-proven ability in planning, decision-making, and including others.

-faithful to seek the Lord in his/her own life and keep Christ the center of their marriage and family.


Duties and Responsibilities:

-Lead by example and be a spiritual support to the children and families of ZCC and the surrounding community.

-Organize and Implement weekly Children’s Programs (Nursery, Sunday School, Kidz Church)

-Lead Kidz Church on Sunday mornings, except on Family Sunday’s

-Organize and Implement quarterly Children’s Events

-Co-Direct Vacation Bible School (along with Pastoral Staff, and/or other Co-Director)

-Participate in Zion Kidz Team quarterly meetings – (led by Youth and Family Pastor)

-Work with Zion Kidz Team on scheduling and training volunteers

-Give monthly report to Youth and Family Pastor to be presented at the monthly Church Board meeting

-Attend weekly Staff Meetings on Tuesday’s at 10AM

-Encouraged to participate in Adult Sunday School (weekly) and Small Groups (monthly) for personal edification

-Office hours to be set with Sr. Pastor

-Expected to adhere to church policies and procedures (employee handbook), conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times and work harmoniously with the Church Board, staff and members of the congregation to promote the ministry and values of Zion Community Church.

-Provide a detailed annual report for the January Annual Congregational Meeting.

-Any other tasks or duties as assigned by Pastoral Staff and/or Church Board



Salary: $15 an hour

-A time sheet is to be filled out per pay period and signed by Sr. Pastor

-Pay is bi-monthly – On the 15th and last day of the month

-Expected hours during a normal work week – up to 10 hours. Additional hours are available, as needed, and as approved by the Sr. Pastor

-A sample work week might look like this: (2hrs) staff meeting, (2.5hrs) Sunday morning, (1-3hrs) office work

-Proper equipment (i.e. laptop) will be provided to fulfill job duties
